The Assistive & Rehabilitation Technologies (ART) Student Innovation Challenge (SIC)

The Assistive & Rehabilitation Technologies (ART) Student Innovation Challenge (SIC) provides a platform to encourage students to develop creative & innovative devices or solutions to improve the quality of living of elderly & people with disability and to improve the quality of professional practice in rehabilitation.  ART SIC was successfully launched in 2013 and had received many entries from local institutes of higher learning.  Over the years, winning teams from the challenge received monetary support to represent Singapore to compete at the annual International Convention Rehabilitation Engineering Assistive Technology (i-CREATe).

The Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore (RRIS), Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU) and Centre for Healthcare Assistive & Robotics Technology (CHART), Changi General Hospital (CGH) will be co-organising the ART-SIC.  Students from local institutes of higher learning who are interested to participate in the ART-SIC are encouraged to consult the list of problem statements or identified Projects to formulate their projects. Winning teams from the ART-SIC will represent Singapore to participate in the international competition at i-CREATe.
