​​Call for ARTSIC 2020 Entries​​​​

In light of DORSCON Orange status, there are some minor changes in the ARTSIC 2020 program; 

  1. The judging session in April 2020 will be staggered, shortlisted entries will be invited to come for a close door judging. 
  2. Call for entries deadline remains on 15 March 2020 
  3. Award Ceremony and Exhibition is currently on hold, we may have to postpone to a later date. 
  4. Winning teams will continue to have direct entry to Global Student Innovation Challenge @14th i-CREATe2020​ which will be held in Taiwan in August 2020. ​
Please keep these entries coming in and feel free to contact Ms Vera Yang at vera.yang@ntu.edu.sg if you require further clarification.

The National Assistive & Rehabilitation Technology Student Innovation Challenge (ARTSIC) is an annual student competition, which is held in March-April in Singapore.   

Through ARTSIC, RRIS provides a national platform for tertiary students to display their creative and innovative devices and concepts for the elderly and person with disabilities. It aims to engage students to care for the less privileged and elderly through inventing innovative solutions to help them overcome their difficulties and improve quality of life. RRIS advocate the importance of Assistive and Rehabilitation Technology and promotes rehabilitation research among the students.  

Top winners of ARTSIC will represent Singapore to compete in the Global Student Innovation Challenge (gSIC) with students worldwide. gSIC which part of the International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (i-CREATe) is usually held in July- August of the year.  For the past years, it has been held in Singapore, Thailand, China, Korea, Japan and Australia.
