Update: 21 April 2020
Due to ​extension of the circuit breaker period, ARTSIC2020 will be postponed to end June 2020. Actual date of the judging to be confirmed. 
For shortlisted teams, please submit your video (on device demonstration) to us by 19 June 2020. 

Update: 14 April 2020 
Due to the work-from-home and home-based-learning arrangements are in placed during the circuit breaker period. ARTSIC2020 will be delayed for one month to end May 2020.​ 
Judging will be held in end May 2020. Actual date to be confirmed.

The National Assistive & Rehabilitation Technology Student Innovation Challenge (ARTSIC) is an annual student competition, which is held in March-April in Singapore.   

Through ARTSIC, RRIS provides a national platform for tertiary students to display their creative and innovative devices and concepts for the elderly and person with disabilities. It aims to engage students to care for the less privileged and elderly through inventing innovative solutions to help them overcome their difficulties and improve quality of life. RRIS advocate the importance of Assistive and Rehabilitation Technology and promotes rehabilitation research among the students.  

Top winners of ARTSIC will represent Singapore to compete in the Global Student Innovation Challenge (gSIC) with students worldwide. gSIC which part of the International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (i-CREATe) is usually held in July- August of the year.  For the past years, it has been held in Singapore, Thailand, China, Korea, Japan and Australia.
